PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter device with a return spring, which can make the applicable range of a distance between right and left guide rails and that of a distance of opening/closing movement of a shutter curtain larger than a torsion coil spring type device. SOLUTION: In this shutter device, a winding body 4 for winding/unwinding the shutter curtain 1 comprises an unrotating central shaft 20, and a body 21 of rotation, which can be freely rotated on the central shaft 20 and used for winding/unwinding the shutter curtain 1. The return spring, one end of which is connected to the central shaft 20, the other end of which is connected to the body 21 of rotation, wherein the pressure of a return spring force is accumulated when the body 21 of rotation is rotated in one direction so as to unwind the shutter curtain 1 downward, and which makes the accumulated return spring force utilized as an auxiliary force for rotating the body 21 of rotation in the other direction so as to winding the shutter curtain 1, is constituted as a power spring 26.
