PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding bearing cover which can always maintain a friction coefficient between a sliding bearing body and a sliding surface to a constant value even in a hostile environment such as an always humid environment. SOLUTION: The sliding bearing cover 24 is formed of a waterproof sheet 41 as a relatively thin external surface member, and a liquid retaining layer 42 formed of a sponge material or a nonwoven fabric as a relatively thick rear surface member, and the two members are bonded together in one body by an adhesive or the like. In order to apply a lubricant such as silicone grease to the sliding surface 22, the liquid retaining layer 42 contains therein the lubricant such as the silicone grease. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
