PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven fabric enabling the parallel arrangement of weft yarns, especially suitable for a chambray fabric having different color effects by 2 kinds of weft yarns and a warp yarn in a warp rib texture or/and basket texture. SOLUTION: This woven fabric is provided by using a rip-stop texture consisting of the warp rib texture or/and basket texture as a base texture, and selecting and arranging a texture for gripping each one of weft yarns in the rip-stop part so that the weft yarns in the weft rib texture or/and basket texture are arranged as without having twists.
