PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment device for a sheet where satisfactory treatment quality can be secured while maintaining desired sealing properties to liquid leakage in an inexpensive and simple device constitution, and to provide a production method for a sheet using the same. SOLUTION: The treatment device for a sheet is provided with: a treatment tank; two rolls provided in the vicinity of at least the one of the outlet and inlet of the treatment tank; and a pressing means of pressing at least the one of the two rolls so as to form a nip part of a sheet between the two rolls. The space between the respective outer circumferential faces of the two rolls and the wall face of the treatment tank is held in a noncontact state, further, a seal part having a gap of 0.1-2% of the outer diameter of the roll is formed at least at one location between the respective outer circumferential faces of the rolls and the wall face of the treatment tank, and also, the pressing means is composed of a mechanical pressing means.
