PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet supplying device capable of reducing occurrence of double feeding of sheets or miss feeding sufficiently without quickening the wear of a sheet supply roll or increasing the electric power consumed in sheet transportation. SOLUTION: The invention comprises a sheet storage part 17 to store sheets in the stacked condition, a sheet supplying unit 18 to supply the sheets stored in the storage part 17, an air blowing unit 19 to blow the air to the sheets stored in the storage part 17, an air blow controlling part 28 to change under control the air blowing condition by the air blowing unit 19, and a sheet supply controlling part 27 to change under control the sheet supplying condition by the sheet supplying unit 18 in accordance with the air blowing condition controlled by the air blow controlling part 28.
