PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin sheet feeding device and a thin sheet feeding method capable of accurately stacking the sheets at the predetermined position by sucking the thin sheets and conveying them. SOLUTION: This thin sheet feeding device for feeding the thin sheet A is provided with a supply stage 10 provided with a positioning through hole A<SB>0</SB>and to be loaded with the thin sheets A, an elevating positioning pin 40 to be inserted into the through hole A<SB>0</SB>to perform positioning of the thin sheets A, a top surface detecting sensor 60 for detecting the top surface of the thin sheets A stacked on the supply stage 10, an elevating means 30 for setting position of a tip part of the positioning pin 40 on the basis of a detecting signal from the top surface detecting sensor 60, and a suction conveying means 20 for sucking the thin sheet A of the top layer in the supply stage 10 to convey it.
