PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a hopper unit on which only a tray elevates for feeding paper as a sheet butting plate exists on the tray when the hopper unit is removed from a device main body and the sheet butting plate is fixed on the device main body when the hopper unit is mounted on the device main body, that is, to solve the problems that 1. a head end becomes irregular in setting the sheet in a state removing the hopper, and 2. a mechanism to elevate the tray comes to be on a large scale in mounting it on the device with the one on which the butting plate is fixed on the tray. SOLUTION: This hopper unit is devised capable of setting an original sheet even when the hopper unit is removed from the device main body as the sheet butting plate rises to the tray when the hopper unit is removed from the device main body. It is also devised so that the tray can elevate against the sheet butting plate as the tray and the sheet butting plate are not fixed when they are mounted on the device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
