PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily define fluctuation quantity of injection quantity due to influence of injection in different cylinders. SOLUTION: A common rail 13 and a fuel injection valve 3 connected to the common rail 13 are provided. Auxiliary fuel is injected nearly at intake top dead center, and reference fluctuation quantity of injection quantity of main injection fluctuating caused by injection action of the auxiliary fuel is stored. Fluctuation quantity of main injection is defined based on the reference fluctuation quantity and injection command pulse length is controlled to make main injection quantity a target value based on fluctuation quantity of the main injection.
