PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin retainer of which engagement claw does not easily wear when the engagement claw is inserted in an engagement hole and which does not easily create play between annular bodies. SOLUTION: In a synthetic resin retainer having a hemispherical pocket 2 storing a ball on facing surfaces of two annular bodies 1a, 1b facing in an axial direction formed at even intervals in a circumference direction, having an engagement claw 4 projecting in an axial direction provided between adjacent pockets 2, 2 of one annular body 1a, having an engagement hole 5 to which the engagement claw 4 is inserted formed between adjacent pockets 2, 2 of another annular body 1b, and joining the annular bodies 1a, 1b by engaging the engagement claw 4 inserted in the engagement hole 5 with the annular body 1b, an expanding slot 6 is formed on a tip of the engagement claw 4.
