PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily mount a handle stay provided with a bar handle at a right mounting angle position in relation to a steering shaft and perform a detent for the steering shaft, in an electric steering device. SOLUTION: This electric steering device 1 is constituted by fixing the handle stay 3 provided with the bar handle 2 to the steering shaft 4 and interposing an electric steering auxiliary unit 10 between the steering shaft 4 and a wheel side steering member 5. In the device 1, a taper hole 92 provided in the handle stay 3 is connected and fixed to a taper shaft 91 provided in the steering shaft 4, a regulated groove 92B provided in the handle stay 3 can be engaged to a rotation regulation pin 91B provided in the steering shaft 4 around the steering shaft 4, and free rotation of the bar handle 2 is prevented.
