PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic ultrasonic transducer with a simple configuration capable of ensuring the symmetry of a stress applied to a vibration part of a vibrating diaphragm, reducing production of distorted tone due to asymmetrical distortion, and eliminating the need for an alignment process for a part of the vibrating diaphragm from which an ultrasonic wave is generated at assembling of structural components for configuring the ultrasonic transducer. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic transducer for generating an ultrasonic signal by vibration of the vibrating diaphragm is provided with: a single support flat member with a plurality of through-holes for delivering the vibrating tone of the vibrating diaphragm formed thereon; two first and second vibrating diaphragms with conductive layers formed thereon sucked with both sides of the support member in a way of sandwiching the single support member; and a means for applying a DC bias voltage between the first and second vibrating diaphragms and superimposing an AC signal on the DC bias voltage.
