PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving braking performance without damaging wear resistance performance or the like. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire is so set that cord constitution in belt layers 28, 30 and a carcass layer 24 satisfies the following expressions. (1): AB(CE) < AB(SH) and (2): AP(CE) > AP(SH)≥AP(BAT), where AB(CE) represents a belt cord angle at a tread center part CE, AB(SH) the belt cord angle at a tread shoulder part SH, AP(CE) the carcass cord angle at the tread center part CE, AP(SH) the carcass cord angle at the tread shoulder part SH, and AP(BAT) the carcass cord angle at a buttress part BAT respectively.
