<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attach/detach a belt unit in an image forming apparatus body also in a direction other than a direction orthogonal to the shaft direction of a supporting rotating body. <P>SOLUTION: The belt unit 40 is provided with members to be guided 45 and 46 engaged with the guide members 31 and 32 of a printer body on the outer surfaces of cover members 42 and 43 with which the outer circumferential surface of a belt 10 is covered. If the attaching/detaching direction of the belt unit to/from the printer body is a direction parallel with the outer surface part of the cover member provided with the members to be guided, the belt unit is attached to/detached from the apparatus body in a state where the members to be guided are engaged with the guide members of the apparatus body in any direction at 360° parallel with the outer surface part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
