<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment dispersion liquid containing minute pigment particles having a sharp particle distribution and excellent in stability over time, its preparation method, a pigment type ink for ink-jet therewith, an ink cartridge using the ink, images formed, and an image forming method. <P>SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, the pigment dispersion liquid contains at least a pigment, water, a polyoxyethylene, and a compound represented by general formula (1) wherein R shows a 1-20C alkyl group, aryl group, and aralkyl group, l shows an integer of 0-7, and n shows an integer of 20-200. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
