<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rare-earth sintered magnet whereby the strength of the compact is high and the magnetic characteristic of the sintered magnet finally obtained is high. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the rare-earth sintered magnet wherein raw material alloy powder is pulverized to obtain pulverized powder, a magnetic field is applied to the pulverized powder and pressed and formed to obtain the compact, and the compact is sintered, and a lubricant including a tetrafluoroethylene group compound A and a compound B expressed in any one kind of a group composed of, expressed in a generic formula, R<SB>1</SB>-COO-R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>1</SB>-OH, and (R<SB>1</SB>-COO)nM, is added to the raw material alloy powder and/or the pulverized powder, wherein R<SB>1</SB>is C<SB>n</SB>H<SB>2n+1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>is H, C<SB>n</SB>H<SB>2n+1</SB>, or C<SB>n</SB>H<SB>2n-1</SB>O<SB>n-1</SB>, M is a metal, and n is an integer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
