<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform packet transfer in a router 10 in a controller capable of efficiently performing packet transfer in a packet processor, a packet transferring method and a packet processor. <P>SOLUTION: An application address detecting part of each controller prepares a transfer table for registering a transfer destination of a packet to be transferred between controllers in the router 10 and stores the transfer table in a transfer table storing part in cooperation with a repeater 300 and application address detecting parts of the other controller.
