摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid laser beam machining apparatus in which since a liquid column is detected with a detecting means, the visual confirmation of the liquid column is unnecessary and further, the laser beam can surely be introduced to the liquid column. <P>SOLUTION: When the hybrid laser beam machining apparatus 1 is activated, a control means activates a liquid supplying means 5 and a laser beam oscillator 4, and the liquid supplying means 5 supplies water into a machining head 6 and from an jetting nozzle 44 arranged at the lower end of the machining head 6, the water is jetted to the material 2 to be machined in the form of the high pressure liquid column W. When the liquid column W is jetted, the detecting means 45 arranged at the side of the material 2 to be machined from the jetting nozzle 44, detects the liquid column W, a control means controls a shutter means 11 arranged between the laser beam oscillator 4 and the machining head 6 to thereby shift a reflecting mirror 11a to outside the beam path of the laser beam L, and the laser beam L is made pass through the machining head 6 and is introduced into the liquid column W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
