<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe structure for enabling ceramics to be usable as a building material and a handrail using this pipe structure; to provide the handrail differentiated from an existing handrail by providing a novel texture; and to provide the handrail having excellent weatherability even when installed outdoors. <P>SOLUTION: This handrail T1 comprises the pipe structure 1 and fixing metal fittings 2 and 2. The pipe structure 1 has a porcelain pipe 10 of a straight pipe shape made of porcelain. Decoration is applied to an outside surface of the porcelain pipe 10 by painting. A metallic core material 11 is penetratingly arranged inside the porcelain pipe 10. Mortar 12 being a filler is filled and solidified inside the porcelain pipe 10 for arranging the core material 11 so as to be substantially brought into close contact with an inner surface of the porcelain pipe 10 by embedding the core material 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
