<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate necessity of an operator's skill in 3-D positioning of an electrode of a lamp with a cap. <P>SOLUTION: A lamp with a cap is composed of: an electric discharging container with a neck part and an electric discharge electrode; a clamp part fixed on the above mentioned neck; an adapter fixed on any point of the clamp part in a direction of the axis; a lamp cap covering the above mentioned parts; and a fixing part connecting the lamp cap and the above mentioned clamp part.
