<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide smooth menu display not giving a user stress by improving scrolling method without changing the layout of menu, even when a menu cannot be displayed within a prescribed range. <P>SOLUTION: A menu character string not falling in the prescribed range is displayed by scrolling in the character string direction and the vertical direction with respect to menu items not fitting in the prescribed range in selecting the menu on this menu display device. Thus the change of layout is unnecessary, a time for displaying the whole menu can be shortened in comparison with a case performing the scrolling in the character string direction and the parallel direction, and an operation method of high visibility capable of reducing stress on user can be achieved by properly changing a scrolling speed during scrolling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
