PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical disk reproducing apparatus capable of performing a high-speed search regardless of whether a search image is I picture, P picture or B picture. SOLUTION: An optical disk reproducing apparatus according to the present invention comprises a memory for storing an image information table containing addresses of sequence header information at the top of a previously designated video information sequence and number sequence information corresponding to the addresses of the sequence header information, respectively and when reproducing an optical disk, an address of the sequence header information obtained by reading the table information is accessed, so that video information of the designated video information sequence is decoded and listed-up images are indicated for image selection.
