PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support device and a design support program capable of reducing position designating operation for a sweep definition plane in modeling a shape feature using a two-dimensional drawing. SOLUTION: The design support device for modeling a shape feature to be assigned to a base model 21 using the two-dimensional drawing comprises a first moving means determining with which of the inside and outside of the base model the sweep definition plane 23 is in contact according to the kind of shape features, and moving the sweep definition plane 23 according to the determination result; and a second moving means determining an element present in the base model 21, which has the shortest distance from the sweep definition plane 23, and moving the sweep definition plane 23 onto this element.
