PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a designer to easily know costs for packaging materials and packaging of a part in the design stage of the part to perform the part design while regularly considering the total cost reduction. SOLUTION: When the designer inputs an operation instruction of input device packaging-related data through an input device 2, the three-dimensional CAD device 3 computes, based on a generated three-dimensional image of the part, a three-dimensional shape as a minimum packaging shape of the part. The device selects, based on the three-dimensional shape, a first packaging material capable of storing this part and a second packaging material smaller than the first packaging material from standardized packaging material data preliminarily stored in a packaging-related data part 6, and displays costs related to packaging stored for each of the packaging materials (packaging cost, transportation cost, and the total of these costs) on a display device 4.
