PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine for increasing merchandise selectivity for a plurality of merchandise samples displayed at a merchandise display section, and for increasing visual attention effects for the merchandise sample. SOLUTION: This vending machine is provided with a plurality of merchandise selection buttons installed so as to be associated with a plurality of merchandise samples displayed at a merchandise sample display section, and respectively mounted on a transparent board covering the merchandise sample display section so as to be isolated from each other, a plurality of multi-color luminous bodies for respectively transparently illuminating the peripheral neighborhoods of those respective merchandise selection buttons from the rear side of the transparent board and a controller for controlling the luminescent colors of those respective multi-color luminous bodies according to the merchandise categories of the merchandise samples with which the respective merchandise selection buttons are associated.
