PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with proper and beneficial information suitable for user's hobbies or the like. SOLUTION: This information providing system constituted by connecting an agent terminal operated by an agent collecting prescribed information on a network and a user terminal 10 operated by a user desiring the acquisition of information, through the network, comprises a disclosed information storing means 60 storing the information provided to the user, an information collecting means 42 collecting the information collected by the agent terminal from the agent terminal and storing the same in the disclosed information storing means by every agent, an agent selection receiving means 31 receiving the agent selection information for selecting the agent from the user terminal, and an information disclosing means 32 extracting the collected information collected by the agent specified by the agent selection information from the disclosed information storing means and transmitting the same to the user terminal.
