PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electromagnetic noise leaking from a gap between optical sub-assemblies and a receptacle member. SOLUTION: An optical transceiver 1 includes the receptacle member 11, the optical sub-assemblies 12, 13, a circuit substrate 14, and an upper and a lower housing 15, 16. The optical sub-assemblies 12, 13 are assembled into the receptacle member 11, wherein both are assembled in the upper housing 15 so that their positions are freely set in the vertical direction. The optical sub-assemblies 12, 13 are assembled into the receptacle member 11 by inserting the sleeves 12a, 13a of the sub-assemblies into the openings 25 of the receptacle member 11. The cross sectional shape of the opening 25 is composed of a pair of straight line parts 25b and arcuate parts 25a for connecting them and has at least a part where a space between the straight line parts 25b is set smaller than the radius of the sleeves 12a, 13a. The sleeves 12a, 13a are inserted into the openings 25 by spreading the straight line parts 25b apart, therefore, no gap is caused between the sub-assemblies and the receptacle member, and an electromagnetic wave is prevented from leaking.
