PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker capable of uniformly cooking rice using vapor. SOLUTION: A water collecting portion 14 is formed in a pan packing 13 arranged in a lower face outer peripheral portion 7b of an inner lid 7, the water collected inside the water collecting portion 14 is heated through a flange 4a by a water collecting portion heating means 18 to generate vapor. The vapor is fed inside of a pan 4 through a vapor discharging port 15 formed in a circular shape inside of the pan packing 13. Since the vapor discharging port 15 is positioned above the inner lid lower surface, the vapor generated in the water collecting portion 14 is heated to 100°C or higher by the radiation heat from the inner lid 7 when entering the pan 4 and evenly discharged from the whole peripheral upper face of the pan 4. The function for evenly heating rice diet and water can be achieved by using the vapor as the heating source from the upper face and evenly discharging the vapor from the peripheral portion.
