A paper mill has a forming sieve belt that receives and dewaters a continuous laminar feed of suspended fibers. The sieve belt is made up of interwoven layers of longitudinal (i1, i3, i5...) and transverse (i2, i4, i6...) threads with first (XX) and second (OO) link node points. At least two and no more than three lower threads (2, 4, 6, 8 ... 20) threads running in the direction of transport are interlinked at these nodes.
