Wall paper manufactured by using natural vegetable long fiber, and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to produce wall paper various in design and texture by bonding various rear paper to wall paper cloth, minimize emission of harmful chemicals, thereby obtaining environment-friendly wall paper. A vegetable long fiber is extracted from a bast fiber, a leaf fiber and a fruit fiber(S10). The extracted vegetable long fiber is cut in length of 2-15 cm by using a cutter(S20). The cut vegetable long fiber is heated by purified water at a temperature in the range from 95 degrees to 102 degrees for 1-5 hours together with caustic soda to remove impurities(S30). The purified vegetable long fiber is cleaned by purified water 2-6 times(S40). The cleaned vegetable long fiber is beaten in a dissociated state(S50). The beaten vegetable long fiber is dried(S60). The dried vegetable long fiber is rolled in a roller(S70). A rear paper is adhered to a rear side of the rolled vegetable long fiber wall paper cloth(S80). |
