Removing or preventing build up of Asphaltene-paraffin-wax on surfaces in contact with crude oil by adding tensides, materials for increasing viscosity and microorganisms capable of breaking down crude oil components of derivatives, is new. Removal or prevention of Asphaltene-paraffin-wax on surfaces in contact with crude oil comprises adding tensides, materials for increasing viscosity, and microorganisms capable of breaking down crude oil components of derivatives and producing at least one type of tenside, to the surface, optionally together with additives required for the reproduction of the microorganisms; providing an appropriate temperature for the microorganisms; allowing the microorganisms to reproduce and act for a predetermined period on the surface; checking the results of the treatment; and optionally repeating the steps. An independent claim is also included for a kit for the removal or prevention of Asphaltene-paraffin-wax precipitates on surfaces in contact with the crude oil in pipelines, comprising a microorganism.
