A method for displaying current decrement in a mobile communication terminal is provided to inform a user of the amount of consumed current by using a transmission power level so that the mobile communication terminal user can recognize battery decrement. A method for displaying current decrement in a mobile communication terminal comprises the following steps of: receiving a power control signal, and confirming a transmission power level from the received control signal(201,203); detecting current decrement by applying the transmission power level to a preset current consumption table(207); comparing the detected current decrement with the first and second preset reference values, and displaying the current decrement(213).
