Arrangement with a tubular element

A prefabricated, preferably ring-shaped adhesive component made of meltable adhesive is located between a pipe(4) to be connected and a tubular section(5) of the coupling(2) which surrounds the outside of the pipe. -The cylindrical ring adhesive component, made from compressed adhesive, sits against a radial section of the coupling(2). The internal diameter of the tubular section(5) of the coupling is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the adhesive cylinder which fits inside it. The pipe(4) outer diameter allows it to be inserted into the adhesive cylinder with slight radial play. When assembled(1) the pipe and coupling tubular section are concentric. A radially inward extending section may be included in the adhesive cylinder and the pipe sits against this radial section. A union may be created by an annular groove in the radial section of the coupling and extends into the pipe. An independent claim is included for a method for assembling the connection in which the adhesive cylinder and pipe are inserted into the coupling and the adhesive melted to form a bond.
