BUTTON ASSEMBLY, AND MOBILE PHONE COMPRISING IT

A button assembly and a portable terminal having the same are provided to make a button pad out of elastic material and enable the button pad to have a flange coming in contact with a body, thereby improving click feeling of the buttons, preventing the buttons from being separated, suppressing generation of noise, preventing mechanical friction and fatigue failure of the buttons, and preventing malfunction of a switch. A button assembly comprises the followings: a button body(131) which is protruded from the outside of a case(111); and a button pad(132) which is fixed on the button body(131), comes in contact with a switch(113) inserted into the case(111), and is made of elastic material. The button pad(132) has a flange(1322) which comes in contact with the case(111) and is made of the elastic material. The button pad(132) comprises the followings: a button pad body(1321) which is connected to the button body(131); the flange(1322) which is expanded to the outer circumference of the button pad body(1321) and comes in contact with the case(111); and an operation protrusion(133) which is protruded from the button pad body(1321) and comes in contact with the switch(113).
