The array has two branches connected electrically in parallel by opposite ends of positive and negative polarities, respectively. Each branch has photoelectric cells. One end has a blocking module to block an electrical current coming from a nearest branch. Another end has a blocking module to limit the propagation of a flash over, towards the nearest branch, induced by an electric arc at a level of the cell of related branch, to a value less than or equal to a rated current value of the related branch ranging between 0 and 0.5 A. An independent claim is also included for a spacecraft comprising a photovoltaic solar array. |
