Provided are a carbon black dispersion composition for a black matrix, a black matrix for a color filter using the composition which shows excellent adhesion, uniformity and resolution, and a color filter containing the black matrix. The carbon black dispersion composition is prepared by passing a mixture comprising 5-40 wt% of carbon black, 1-10 wt% of a dispersant, 0.1-20 wt% of a cardo-based compound and 30-90 wt% of a solvent through a continuous cyclic bead mill for dispersion; and passing the obtained one through a high pressure dispersion device. Preferably the mixture comprises further 0.1-10 wt% of a dispersant auxiliary; the continuous cyclic bead mill is a zirconium oxide bead having a diameter of 0.2-1.5 mm; and the high pressure dispersion device uses a high pressure of 1,500-3,000 kgf/cm^2. |
