The method involves providing consumption data detecting devices that are configured for transmitting consumption data, and a data collection device for receiving the data of each detecting device. A determination is made whether the collection device does not receive data from one of the detecting devices. Another collection device is provided for the detecting device whose data have not received by the former collection device.
