[Also in Group XX] A film spool, for example as shown, provided with two flanges 2 for positioning the film, has a core 1 provided with a slot for receipt of film and a conical bore extending inwardly from one end of the core and is provided with a pin 3 adapted to be positioned in the bore after the film has been received in the slot to secure the film relative to the core. The pin is preferably conical, having a fluted or roughened surface and may be of plastic (e.g. polystyrene, polyamide, polycarbonate and polyester) or of metal (e.g. steel, brass and aluminium). |
