Copolymer (A) obtained by polymerizing olefin monomers (M), is new. Copolymer (A) obtained by polymerizing olefin monomers (M) of formulae R1>-CH=CH2 (M1); (R2>)(R3>)C=C(R4>)(R5>) (M2); and (R7>)(R6>)C=C(R8>)(R9>) (M3), is new. R1>H or 1-40C hydrocarbyl; R2>-R5>H, 1-40C-hydrocarbyl, -COOR10> or-OCOR10> (where at least one of R2>-R5 is COOR10> or OCOR10>); R6>-R8>H or 1-4C-alkyl; R9>aryl; and R10>1-40C hydrocarbyl. Independent claims are included for: (1) a fuel oil composition comprising a larger amount of a distillate fuel with a boiling point of 120-500[deg]C and smaller amount of at least a copolymer; (2) a lubricant composition comprising a larger amount of a conventional lubricant and smaller amount of at least a copolymer; and (3) an additive package comprising at least a copolymer in combination with at least a conventional grease additive or a fuel oil additive.
