A hose end is clamped and sealed at a point distant from the end face of a pressurizing pipe. Pressurization of the sealed section inflates the hose radially until larger than an external guide sleeve. Axial movement of the hose end, guide sleeve and a cylindrical inverting tool forms an S-shape in the hose wall. The S-shape is converted into a U-shape by pushing the inner shank(1.1) away from the pipe and stretching with the inverting tool. Pressure is relaxed and with the base of the U-shape supported by a cylindrical stop the inverting tool, pipe and clamp are removed. The pressurization medium is introduced through the pressurization pipe. A rigid supporting pipe limits radial inflation of the pressurized hose end. The clamp, pressurization pipe, cylindrical inverting tool, guide sleeve, cylindrical stop and pressure supply unit are operated in an automatic sequence. |
