<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater aerator which is hard to stagnate flocs of sewage or organic substance in the region just above the underwater aerator and can also accelerate even the cooling of an electromotor for driving the underwater aerator. <P>SOLUTION: The underwater aerator 10 is arranged in an aeration tank filled with water to be purified and has a structure for sucking sewage from below to mix air with the sucked sewage and discharging the resulting mixture to the outside in a radial direction. One or a plurality of partially pumped-up water outflow ports 21 for making a part of pumped-up water flow out are provided to the upper part of the casing 14 of the underwater aerator 10. By this constitution, an ascending flow is formed to the region just above the underwater aerator 10 not only to prevent the stagnation of flocs of sewage or organic substance but also to accelerate the cooling of the electromotor 11 for driving the underwater aerator 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
