ELECTRIC TRAIN PANTOGRAPH CURRENT COLLECTOR

FIELD: electric transport. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of units of electric train with sliding collection of current and with dc and ac (double) supply. Proposed current collector contains two pans with current-collecting contact inserts and third pan with nonconducting lubricating contact insert, all inserts being arranged on frames connected by movable levers by means of joints with base installed on insulators on roof of electric train. Fourth pan is provided additionally which contains nonconducting lubricating contact insert connected with base by means of joints. Pans with current-collecting contact insert are located on frames installed between frames with pans nonconducting lubricating contact inserts. The latter are spring-loaded relative to contact wire and are connected by means of movable levers and joints with electromagnet rigidly secured on base. ^ EFFECT: reduced wear of contact wire and elements of pantograph current collector operating on dc ac current. ^ 1 dwg
