The use of polymer(s) (A) containing functionalized, non-aromatic siloxane repeating unit(s) (I), or composites (B) comprising (A) and electrically conductive filler(s) (II), is claimed as sensitive material in a collector for detecting nitrated compound(s). - The use of polymer(s) (A) containing siloxane repeating unit(s) of formula -Si(XR1)(YR2)-O- (I), or composites (B) comprising (A) and electrically conductive filler(s) (II), is claimed as sensitive material in a collector for detecting nitrated compound(s). - X, Y = direct bond or saturated or unsaturated 1-50C linear hydrocarbylene; - R1, R2 = H, CN, CZ3, CHZ2, CH2Z, NH2, NHR3 or NR3R4; - Z = halo; - R3, R4 = halo, Me or 2-20C saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched hydrocarbyl (optionally containing heteroatom(s) and/or chemical function(s) containing heteroatom(s)); - provided that R1 and R2 are not both H.
