摘要

An apparatus of driving a cold cathode fluorescent lamp is provided to easily satisfy an output voltage standard of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp through the frequency control of a reference clock. An oscillator(31) oscillates a frequency according to tuning resistance and tuning capacitance. A PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) driving unit(32) outputs a PWM switching control signal according to a reference clock output from the oscillator. An inverter(33) has switching elements of a half bridge structure. A resonator(34) outputs an AC power output from the inverter to a lamp drive power source. A feedback circuit(35) detects whether a lamp is opened. A current controller(36) increases a tuning capacitor current of the oscillator when the lamp is off. The current controller reduces the tuning capacitor current when the lamp is on.
