A method and an apparatus for sealing an issued document for a document issuing apparatus are provided to securely attach a sealing sheet on the issued document by facilitating stripping and attaching of the sealing sheet from/to a winding tape. An apparatus for sealing an issued document for a document issuing apparatus includes a driven roller, a winding roller, a sealing sheet stripping portion, and a sealing sheet pressing roller. The sealing sheet stripping portion includes a turning shaft(41), a friction roller(42), and a silicon belt conveyor(43). The turning shaft is installed on the winding roller, so that the direction of a sealing sheet tape is abruptly changed. The friction roller is installed to be adjacent from the turning shaft and communicates with the winding roller. A driven gear, which is coupled with a driving gear of the winding roller, is installed on one side of the friction roller. The silicon belt conveyor communicates with the friction roller and moves a sealing sheet upward, while the sealing sheet is in line-contact with the silicon belt conveyor.
