A water purification ball formed of germanium and chabazite that have superior emission effect of far-infrared rays, and can be used for purifying drinking water and improving quality of water contained in a large water tank of an apartment and an aquafarm, and a preparing method thereof are provided. A preparation method of a ball for purifying water comprises the steps of: milling germanium and chabazite into germanium powder and chabazite powder having particle sizes corresponding to sieve sizes of 300 to 400 meshes; mixing the milled powders of germanium and chabazite at a weight ratio of 10 to 90:90 to 10; kneading the mixture using water to make a ball with a radius of 3 to 10 mm; primarily calcining the ball at 600 to 800 deg.C, and secondly calcining the primarily calcined ball at 1,000 to 1,150 deg.C; and cooling the calcined ball to an ordinary temperature. The milled germanium powder and chabazite powder are mixed with each other at the same weight ratio. |
