Provided is a continuous distillation apparatus using a main tower separated into upper and lower main towers in a thermally coupled distillation system, which shows increased operatability as compared to a conventional thermally coupled distillation system, and simplifies a distillation system to reduce the cost. The continuous distillation apparatus comprises a pretreatment tower, a main tower, a condenser installed at the upper part of the main tower and a reboiler disposed at the lower part of the main tower. In the apparatus, the main tower includes an upper main tower(2a), and a lower main tower(2b), and the pretreatment tower(1), upper main tower(2a) and lower main tower(2b) allow bi-directional mass transfer among them, and the upper main tower(2a) and the lower main tower(2b) also allow bi-directional mass transfer between them. |
