A linear lattice polarizer and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to recycle a wasted light of P2 by using a dispersion type polarizing plate selectively scattering a light according to polarization of the light entering a substrate supporting metal lattice patterns periodically arranged, thereby improving brightness of an LCD and reducing power consumption. A dispersion type polarizing substrate(10) consists of a high molecular material(11) having optical anistropy and a dispersing agent(12) dispersed in the high molecular material for scattering an incident light, wherein the dispersion type polarizing substrate is stretched in a regular direction. A support layer(20) is prepared, having a plurality of lattices(21) arranged in a regular period, wherein a lower part of a section of the lattice is wide and an upper part of the section of the lattice is narrow. The dispersion type polarizing substrate is bonded with the support layer. A metal(22) is deposited on one side of each lattice. |
