<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect trespassers and specify its position by processing the image of a crime prevention camera set at the position looking down a restricted zone. <P>SOLUTION: The trespasser detecting system by image processing comprises the camera 10 and image processing section 1. The image processing section 1 acquires the video of the camera 10 with an image inputting means 2, divides the video into appropriate small areas with a small area dividing means 3, correlates the pre-acquired background image with the input images by every small area with a correlating means 4, detects changed small areas based on the temporal change with a change detecting means 5, determines a change detected area by combining the adjacent changed small areas with a changed area combining means 7, determines, through a characteristic value evaluation means 8, if a geometrical characteristic value of the change detected area corresponds to a trespasser, and specifies the position of the trespasser in the image with a trespasser detecting means 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
