REPLICATION CONTROL OF HUMAN CYTOMEGALOVIRUS

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new means and method for treating and preventing a human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) infectious disease by clarifying replication mechanism of HCMV.

SOLUTION: Replication ability of HCMV is controlled by site-specifically mutating all GC boxes existing in MIE gene enhancer region of HCMV and inhibiting binding of transcription factors Sp1 and Sp3 to the GC boxes.
