<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption at the time of standby and to reduce cost and mounting space. <P>SOLUTION: An electric double layer capacitor 12 is connected to an output side of an AC/DC converter 11 as a main power supply. The electric double layer capacitor 12 is connected to an on/off control circuit 13 which on/off-controls the AC/DC converter 11. At the time of standby, power is supplied from the electric double layer capacitor 12 to the on/off control circuit 13 and the AC/DC converter 11 can be on/off-controlled. The on/off control circuit 13 incorporates an input voltage monitoring circuit 16.
